Maistr
The design team with six students did, by the customer and in consideration of the course goals and course timeline, deliver a simple graphic manual that instructs and presents a paradigm to be followed in the future to solve the proposed issues.
The design team will also supply the customer with a concept that consists of a WordPress prototype and template. It will consist of functions that improve and simplify the editing possibilities. This WordPress template will be based on the graphic manual that is previously stated. The WordPress template will serve as a helping guide to how the MAISTR website could look and function. It will be designed based on the evaluation done on the website regarding optimizing the heuristics.
Finally, the design team will deliver a presentation of the usability evaluation done on the current website.

Design process
Maistr is an advanced-level education program designed for working professionals. The program consists of a total of 26 courses. During the Design Studio, we collaborated with Maistr, who sought assistance in making their website more appealing to their target audience. This was because the audience often overlapped with individuals outside the target audience for the website and its courses.
Research
Heuristics evaluation
The design team conducted desktop research and documented identified issues with the current product, noting them on sticky notes, which were then linked to Nielsen's 10 heuristics
Accessibility
I conducted a Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) evaluation aimed at enhancing web accessibility for individuals with disabilities. This was done by breaking it down into a table that addressed potential issues, severity of the problem, and either a recommended solution or a comment. This was carried out early in the programming phase to avoid major usability issues later on.
Concept
For the contact form, it was considered to create a database. For this purpose, a conceptual database model and a Logical database model were prepared. The idea was built around allowing a visitor to select a contact person responsible for courses, as well as to specify which course it pertained to. In the form, the customer would also provide their name and email, along with a description of their inquiry.
Design
I creative Mairstr graphical profile. This was used to design the website, it was also used in other digital channels.
Evaluation
Heuristics evaluation
The compilation of the user test was then compared with the heuristic evaluation conducted earlier in the process to see what users found compared to what had previously been discovered through surveys. Through this process, design decisions regarding content, structure, and features that could be added to the website have been identified. Some of the decisions included implementing a search function and improving content distribution on the homepage of the website. The interviews also provided an opportunity to finalize the user journey, clarifying what would be further improved based on the users' needs for the website.
Better UX & overview on landing page
We changed the structure of the menu bar to provide better coherence and added hover effects to indicate which page one is on.
Hover effect in the meny bar
In the first prototype, I implemented a search function where users can search within four specific areas instead of navigating through the entire website in a less efficient manner.
Search bar to find courses
There was a lack of structure among current courses, including inconsistencies in the presentation boxes of the courses and the measurements of rounded corners.
Change structure for better UX
We redesigned the structure of the homepage to provide a clear overview of what the website is about.
